All lectures were held at the Presidio Activity Center, 1400 E. O’Reilly Street. Friday evening events were held at Fort Leaton, 4 miles SE of Presidio on FM 170. Thursday’s events were held in Marfa.
Thursday, Oct. 17
0800-1100 – Marfa Lights Mystery – Paranormal Investigation of the Marfa Lights. The public was invited to participate and observe as the Midland Paranormal Research Group (MPRG) looks for traces of the unknown at the official Marfa Lights viewing station, located on Highway 90 just east of Marfa.
Friday, Oct. 18
1030-1100 – Travis Walton, Noe Torres, Ruben Uriarte & Lloyd Pye appeared live (in studio) on Marfa Public Radio’s “Talk at Ten”
0100-0300 – Travis Walton, Lloyd Pye, Noe Torres, Ruben Uriarte, and Dr. Javier Morales held a book signing and “meet and greet” session at the outdoor pavilion next door to the Marfa Book Co., 105 S. Highland Ave.
0300-0400 – The speakers held a book signing and “meet and greet” session at the Marfa Public Library, 115 E. Oak St.
0700-0800 – UFO News Conference & Reception at Historic Fort Leaton. Reception is hosted by Presidio Mayor John Ferguson, who is part of the Mariachi Santa Cruz, named after the towering mountain in Mexico that is a feature of the southern skyline of Presidio. The Mariachi Santa Cruz will entertain.
0800-1100 – “Ghost Walk” – Paranormal Investigation of Fort Leaton. The public was invited to participate and observe as the Midland Paranormal Research Group (MPRG) used high-tech equipment to spot anamolies.
Saturday, Oct. 19
